Depression also often goes hand in hand with other conditions, such as anxiety disorder and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Only a thorough evaluation by a qualified health care professional can determine what is causing your particular symptom and make a diagnosis of depression.
Symptoms of depression, especially suicidal thoughts, should be reported immediately to your health care provider, and 911 should be called immediately for any attempt at suicide, even if it does not appear serious.
